About Me

Ideas I Live By

1. Understand the system before trying to change it.

Most people react to what they see. I try to understand what sits beneath it — the structures, incentives, and patterns shaping outcomes. Clarity begins when you see the system, not just the surface.

2. Behaviour drives everything.

Businesses, brands, markets, and relationships are all shaped by how people think and act. If you understand behaviour, you understand decisions — and if you understand decisions, you understand outcomes.

3. Structure creates freedom.

Wealth, businesses, and even personal lives are not built on effort alone — they are built on structure. The right foundations create stability, optionality, and long-term growth.

4. Think long-term. Always.

Most decisions are made for short-term comfort. I try to think in decades — in what compounds, what lasts, and what holds value over time.

5. Seek clarity over noise.

The world is full of information, but very little understanding. I try to simplify, question, and distil — because clarity is what allows you to act with confidence.

Quick Facts

  • I’m dyslexic — which has shaped how I think, simplify complexity, and see patterns others often miss.
  • I started in banking at 17 — from printing client bank statements at the customer service counter at Citibank to becoming a Private Banker specialising in Trust & Fiduciary Services.
  • I led the launch of one of the first Employee Share Ownership Plans (ESOPs) in the UAE — helping structure long-term wealth and incentive systems where none existed before.
  • I became an entrepreneur and built across industries — including Dubai’s early co-working spaces, an incubator, multi family office, corporate service provider (CSP) services, and a brand strategy & digital design studio.
  • I’ve worked across global markets — including the UAE, London, and Singapore — and I’m now based in Canada, continuing to build at the intersection of systems, behaviour, and wealth.

My Journey — From Banking to Building

I began my career in banking and spent my early years immersed in the world of private wealth — understanding how capital is structured, protected, and grown over time. That foundation shaped how I think about value, discipline, and long-term decision-making.
Over time, my curiosity expanded beyond finance. I became increasingly interested in a broader question — how things actually work. Not just in markets, but across businesses, systems, people, and institutions.
That curiosity led me into entrepreneurship.
I went on to build and operate across different domains — from Bureau, a co-working space in Dubai’s early startup ecosystem, to Planck CSP, a corporate services and structuring firm, and Volto, a brand strategy and digital product design studio. Each venture reflects a different layer of the same underlying interest: how systems are designed, how people behave within them, and how value is created over time.
Along the way, I’ve worked across markets including the UAE, London, Singapore, and now Canada — gaining exposure to different ways of thinking, building, and structuring businesses globally.
At the core of everything I do is a simple idea: knowledge matters. It’s not just something to acquire, but something to apply — to think better, design better, and build more intentionally. I consider myself an aspiring polymath, and this work is part of that pursuit — studying across disciplines, connecting ideas, and refining how I see the world.
I’m currently working toward a long-term academic path in law and business, with the goal of pursuing a PhD at the intersection of these fields, bridging theory with real-world application across finance, governance, and global systems.
At the same time, I am in the process of building my own family office, Hangora Epistēme Capital — applying everything I’ve learned across wealth structuring, strategy, and systems into a single, integrated model. This is both a professional and personal endeavour, and much of what I learn along the way will be shared here — from first principles to real-world execution.
This site is an extension of that process — a place where I document what I’m learning across systems thinking, human behaviour, and wealth & power structures, and translate it into clear, practical frameworks.
I’m not here to have all the answers.
I’m here to understand better — and to share that understanding as I go.
If you’ve found your way here, you’re part of that journey.
